An Expensive Lesson in Choosing Legal Representation

I cannot recommend this attorney for a high-conflict custody case. I frequently felt unprepared for hearings and meetings, and I did not receive the strategic guidance I expected for one of the most important legal matters of my life. I often felt that the right questions were not being asked and tha...t my case was not being thoroughly developed. After my unfavorable pendente lite hearing, I was advised not to file exceptions, a decision I believe significantly harmed my custody case. After investing approximately $25,000 in legal fees, I was then dropped as a client because I could no longer afford to continue paying. For the amount I invested, I expected strong advocacy, thorough preparation, clear communication, and strategic guidance. Instead, I was left feeling unsupported, unprepared, and forced to start over at a critical point in my custody battle.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
