Cynthia L Golomb

I retained Cynthia to handle my divorce. She was excellent... that is, if she were representing my ex-husband. But she was supposed to be representing me. My ex is white, I am Jamaican(black.) The first time they met, ( Cynthia, and my ex) she went up to him and said, "I know that I should not be ta...lking to you, but I just want to extend the 'olive branch'". She gave my ex 7 weeks to get his records and evidence together to give to his lawyer to give to me for his case but only gave me 2 weeks, during which time Cynthia was on vacation unavailable to me. Even still, she yelled at me and criticized me for not getting documents together quickly enough. I spent those 2 weeks staying up almost day and night preparing documents and putting them together to give Cynthia. Then when I gave them to her she stated, "I'm not going to use this against him and damage his character and throw him under the bus." Every point of contention made against ex, Cynthia would shrug her shoulder and dismiss them and say she would not use it against him. My ex presented damaging emails against me. After looking at these emails, I went back and found them on my computer and his emails were way different than what I had originally written. He changed my original wording and meaning to imply a different message all together. When I showed Cynthia the proof that the emails were fabricated, she shrugged her shoulders and said, "I'm not going to use these." As a matter of fact, three days before we were to appear in court for a hearing she literally said, "I'm not going to use these because I don't want to attack him." Despite her unwillingness to attack my ex-husband, she recognized that he would be doing that to me and did not seem concerned about defending those attacks against me. When friends and family heard my conversations with her, they were shocked because of her rudeness and condescending tone.
