Metody A Tilev

I am surprised to see so many positive reviews for this lawyer. I consulted him on what should have been a simple custody agreement, and decided to hire him only after he pushed me to go forward with legal proceedings based on his ignorance/misrepresentation of DC law. When I discovered this he told ...me he was not an expert on the laws in question and I should have consulted with someone else to verify his claims. (Mind you, he had repeatedly told me that I was "in trouble" with the case based on the legal non-issue in question.) His abrupt approach to my ex alienated and frightened her (though again, he denied any responsibility) and resulted in costly mediation which resolved nothing. I honestly feel like I was taken to the cleaners.

Metody Tilev is an incredibly knowledgeable, experienced attorney who helped me through a separation, a divorce and a domestic violence incident. He always took the time to explain all the legal steps that were necessary and also those he didn't think I needed to bother with. Most importantly _ espec...ially at the beginning _ he was the only lawyer I interviewed who took the time to actually listen to my situation before he recommended a plan of action. He usually took copious notes throughout our meetings and he always reviewed everything he heard to make sure he had all his facts straight before he outlined the next steps. I found Mr. Tilev to be very responsive to all my questions and concerns throughout my case while balancing my need to keep his time and my costs down. I also found Mr. Tilev to be appropriately aggressive (in terms of the case) when he needed to be and compassionate other times. He just knew how to strike exactly the right balance for every machination of my case. Looking back on the whole process, I see now that he took steps to protect me from potential pitfalls that I could not envision happening myself. That's the mark of an excellent attorney, who is looking out for his client's best interests, not just till the end of the case, but over the long-term. I highly recommend Mr. Tilev (and have already recommended him to many of my friends) for any of your litigation needs, especially separation and divorce. I would not hesitate to hire Mr. Tilev in the future.
