President, The African Middle Eastern Leadership Project

I was connected to Becki Young three years ago, during one of the most difficult times of my life. I had travelled to Germany to attend a conference and wanted to continue on from there to the United States. I contacted Covington & Burling to help me obtain an O-1 visa. Grossman Young & Hammond and... Covington have a pro bono collaboration and so they contacted Becki. At their request, she stepped in and broke me free from a bureaucratic blackhole I found myself sucked into in Germany. Becki navigated smoothly between her knowledge of American laws, and German laws, assisting me simultaneously in the two countries, and making life so much easier for my German lawyer. Despite the fact that I am a pro bono client, I felt like I was her top priority at all times. Her extraordinary care combined with her ability to give realistic hope through explaining facts is what kept me going until I obtained my O-1 visa, and finally broke free from the shackles of the German bureaucratic blackhole I was put in. After acquiring the visa many attorneys would have been done with me, but not Becki. She continued to make me a top priority as I moved to the U.S. Her personal care for me is above and beyond. Upon arrival to the States, Becki hosted me in her home for several weeks until I got back on my feet. Less than a year into my arrival, President Trump got elected, and foreseeing the probability of a travel ban following inauguration, and likelihood of my home country of Sudan to be on his list, Becki lead a new effort for adjustment of status for me that included a large group of supporters, including members of congress, that culminated in securing for me permanent residency, approved hours before the announcement of the Travel Ban. The firm as a whole is extraordinary. It is filled not only with capable and top of the line lawyers, but also with top of the line human beings. They truly care about their clients, always available all hours of the day. Becki went out of her way to not only give me immigration help, but also to care for me and to help me with all aspects of my life once I had arrived in the US, and still does and I know she will continue to.

Best Lawyer I've ever had

Becki is the most professional, caring, and effective person I've ever worked with. I did with her my whole Green Card an O-1 Petitions and it was EXTREMELY SUCCESSFUL. I don't think I would have been posible without her. Not only she came with effective solutions to every concern I had and helped ...me throughout every step but also she even answered my emails on WEEKENDS. That says a lot about how much she cares about her clients and how amazing her work ethics is. I would never hesitate to recommend her and of course will continue to hire her in the future

Great Immigration Lawyer

I have been in the USA for a little over 12 years now. I have always been a legal resident and that has been thanks to the services of Becki Young. With the help of Becki and her firms I was able over the years to successfully be granted a number of Visas (4 including renewals). Becki has always he...lped me and guided me through the processes in a meticulous and professional manner. I am now a Green Card holder and I know I owe much of this status to her. I highly recommend the services of Becki Young for anybody who needs a GREAT immigration lawyer!!

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
