I represented ex-Husband who had been ordered to pay $2,000 per month in spousal support. Husband came to me after finding out ex-Wife was cohabitating and holding herself out as married to the person ... she was living with. Initially, the court ruled that without proving a valid marriage, with a marriage license, our case had no merit. After trial, in which a lot of testimony and documents were provided, the judge changed her mind and terminated spousal support. Not only that, ex-Wife had to pay back 2 years of spousal support.
