Alice Ann Pare-Johnson

I knew during my first consult with Alice Pare that I had made the right attorney choice. Her calm presence and "let's just get this taken care of" attitude was just what I needed as I was so nervous. Alice is the best. She works tirelessly to get results and really goes to bat for you. I wouldn’t have my son if it weren’t for her. His father abducted him overseas when he was two years old to a country that had never returned a child to the US. Alice stayed up all night with me when it happen...ed and had a plan which gave me hope by the next morning. She worked with the FBI, the State Department, the Maryland Courts and members of the US Congress to force my son’s return. She invested an unbelievable number of hours in doing this and really thought “outside the box” to come up with ideas to force his Dad’s cooperation. When my son was finally returned, Alice had already arranged for a therapist to help him deal with what had happened. His Dad also returned to the US to remain a part of our son’s life and Alice has always championed “the child’s best interest” comes first in dealing with his father. Her work has been brilliant both in and out of the courts. She has guided me for 15 years now, as his father frequently takes me to court, and is truly one of a kind. She absolutely knows the law and how to use it to help you.

I lost $1000 on a private detective she hired for me and I never even saw a report. I told her about a court date and she never showed up. I had to all her from court and the judge delayed until she arrived. She asked me for more money when I had just given her another check for $1000. She then made ...a pissy comment when I hired a new attorney. No itemized bills or receipts.
