Mr. Joel Hoffman is an exceptional business law attorney who took the time to fully understand the details surrounding my case before proceeding with an appropriate response. In my case I was dealing with an unresponsive broker who was delaying my lease renewal in order to acquire more favorable term...s. If further delays were made, my Wife and I would have had a difficult time renewing our alcohol license in Montgomery County, Maryland. Mr. Hoffman crafted a thorough, well-written email to the broker addressing the matter and, more importantly, the time-sensitive nature of the issue. From being initially unresponsive, the broker responded within 48 hours. Joel also assisted us in acquiring the most favorable terms possible in the new lease agreement. I highly recommend The Law Offices of Joel Hoffman. I contacted several attorneys who told me my case was too difficult to handle. However, Mr. Hoffman was happy to take my case. I hired Joel to handle my mother's Estate (probate) after initially hiring a different lawyer. My initial lawyer became uncomfortable in handling the probate proceedings when the estate went from a simple administrative estate to a judicial estate and recommended Joel. It was the best decision I mad...e in hiring Joel. Joel was always courteous, willing to explain the various legal proceedings and jargon in simple laymen terms. He was always available for consultations; returning phone calls quickly if not immediately available; even when out of town. During the probate proceedings, the estate went from a Judicial to a Contested estate. Joel spent the time and effort to research an obscured legal court case and come up with a winnable strategy and thereby saving from splitting the estate proceeds. Joel is also different than most estate lawyers in that he charges by the time spent (in 6minutes units) instead of a flat a rate. Depending on the size and type of estate this can be a lot less than a flat rate cost. It saved me approximately $4000 in attorney fees. I am quite pleased with Joel and highly recommend Joel (he handles other things other estates)
