Sarah Hamid Mir

Sarah Mir, Esq. is an associate with the Law Offices of Hass Bashir, LLC. Her practice primarily focuses on Family Law. Family law related matters encompass the following areas of law: divorce, disposition of assets, child custody, child support, domestic violence, adoptions, and alimony. She is passionate about family law because through her legal practice, she is able to help families and individuals through difficult and emotional times. She strives for her clients to have control over their personal and financial issues.

Sarah’s practice is client-centered and is sensitive toward the individual needs of each client, as every case is unique. The time and commitment she gives to each case assures the best possible outcome for her clients. Since 2011, she has successfully negotiated, settled, and litigated child custody actions, divorce (contested and uncontested), suits, reached separation/marital settlement agreements, filed petitions for adoption, and successfully settled cases out of court.

Sarah understands that family legal matters can come at a large financial cost during the challenging times in her clients’ lives. By successfully reaching agreements, she has been able to cut down the financial burden of divorce and custody matters for her clients. When necessary, and in several cases, she advised clients to litigate the matters instead of settling for less. She also strives toward agreements that are best and avoid the damages a divorce can have on family relationships.

Her past experience includes a clerkship at the Office of the Public Defender in Rockville, Maryland and the Office of the Attorney General in Washington, D.C. She has also worked with the Family HIV/AIDS Legal Clinic at U.D.C., successfuly obtains results for her client at the District of Columbia Court of appeals.

She is Collaborative Law Certified since 2011. In addition to be a full-time associate for Law Offices of Hass Bashir, she is also a lead counsel for Maryland family law practice of Moheyer Law, P.C., a Washington-based firm. She also acts as of counsel for several renowned law firms in Maryland.
