My wife is 30 years obliterated our marriage over two years ago and I’ve been trying to first reconcile,, then get to a reasonable settlement since I’m very close to retirement and financially this has the potential to be disastrous In dealing with this, I’ve come to realize that it is very diffic...ult to find a family lawyer, who is talented, focused and truly about his clients. Brandon spoke to me for at least 20 minutes in November to explain information on his website concerning non-commingled assets …specifically my 401(k) he gave me tons of good information, but said at the time that he did not like to work cases in my area. Again, he was extremely helpful By February, it was clear to me that my third lawyer was seriously under performing. He actually quit my case this week after our settlement hearing was a debacle I’ve called Brandon four or five times since February and he has not called back. I’ve asked him to either take my case or refer to me to sa good lawyer in my area, but he has declined to do so. That’s disappointing to me. It’s a lack of professionalism, and it shows arrogance and a lack of concern for a potential clients with a very strong case, whose spouse has completely betrayed him. I wish it were simpler to find a good family lawyer. especially given the cost. I suspect that Brandon is excellent at what he does; just based on our 20 to 30 minute conversation, And I appreciate his candor regarding his preference for working case cases in his immediate area, However,I’m really disappointed that I won’t get the chance to find out.
