Ms. Proctor seems to be very competent and knowledgeable about the whole divorce process and law, but she fails in many other areas that can put your case at risk. On a number of occasions, Ms. Proctor failed to submit the necessary documentation or file motions in a timely manner, and she missed th...e court-mandated deadlines resulting in my case to negatively impacted. - Ms. Proctor’s failed to submit a Motion to Transfer Venue in a timely manner (1 month late), which resulted in a Default Order to be issued by the Court. - Ms. Proctor failed to submit my request for Discovery and Interrogatories to opposing counsel within the court's timeframe, resulting in my case being severely impacted, as my spouse wasn't required to provide any information. In addition, she failed to inform me that she missed the court's deadline. - Ms. Proctor also did not inform me when the court placed a motion to compel on me, as a result of her not providing Discovery and Interrogatory responses that I had previously provided to Ms. Proctor months prior. - Ms. Proctor came unprepared to a Hearing, where she didn't provide opposing counsel the necessary documentation (list of exhibits) prior to the Hearing, as a result, I was not allowed to present any exhibit evidence (text messages or emails) during the Hearing. - The last straw was when Ms. Proctor’s overcharged me for Court Transcripts, which I found out only cost $250, but she informed me and charged me $1,500 for the same Transcripts. As a result of Ms. Proctor's failings, I had to hire another law firm, which cost me more money to fix my issues caused by Ms. Proctor......At the end of the day, caveat emptor (Buyer Beware).

I hired her regarding custody and child support. She seemed like a very competent attorney and was very informative of the process. However, docs where not filed timely and she did not show up for one of my hearings, was only given a 30 minute prior notice. I had to stand in front of the Judge myself.... It impacted my case and I felt if things where handled better and more timely I would have had a better result. Also she was not very responsive to a lot of the issues i had. When I consulted about a receipt of payments, I never got a response. I was forced to hire another attorney to complete my case and had to pay double. I would not recommend this attorney.

Ms. Deidra Proctor had my custody case through the Pro Bono Program. She handled the case as I paid her money...She even bought lunch for me. She was available to answer my questions. She helped me on every step of the process. I know that my case was a tough one; thanks to Ms. Proctor's knowledge an...d her professionalism, I was always the winner in court. I will definitely recommend her to any one. I can't thank her enough for what she did for me.
