Top notch!

We cannot express enough gratitude for the exceptional legal support and representation that our daughter recently received from Mr. Burton during the course of her divorce. From start to finish Mr. Burton was not only professional and highly knowledgeable, but he was also compassionate and attent...ive to our daughters unique situation. Mr. Burton was always responsive, clearly explained every step and fought tirelessly to ensure a fair outcome for both our daughter and the best needs of our grandchildren. Divorce is never easy, especially when children and complex matters are involved; but Mr. Burton made a difficult process more manageable and less overwhelming for our entire family. Thanks to Mr. Burtons expertise and dedication our daughter was able to feel more protected and heard throughout the process. We're happy to say, his knowledge and professionalism led to a successful outcome! We highly recommend Mr. Burton to anyone in need of a skilled, professional Attorney who cares!

Firm, Honest, Straight to the point, Knowledge is power!

I was fighting a uphill battle for custody of my son. I have been getting the run around from multiple lawyers in the the PG County area and none of them gave me any confidence on winning my case. I met Mr. Burton and was reassured that I had a strong chance to win my custody battle, and for me to co...ntinue doing right as a mother. He was very knowledgeable on family law, patient, courteous, attentive and communicable. Following his advice and producing all the documentation he requested I was successful in my custody case. Now I have a lawyer that will take care of all my legal needs. Aubrey Burton also has a wonderful office staff Tabatha Akins is very helpful, her response time is A1 as well very respectful and patient she show's she care.

worth every penny :)

I hired Burton after my girlfriend referred him to me, because he represented her sister in a divorce case. Burton explained things to me and he walked me through the process. The people that work at the courthouse know him and so do the other attorneys that do family law in PG and Charles County. ... Long story made short, I have twice the amount of visitation with my son and my ex-wife doesn't play anymore games with me and my relationship with our son. Burton saved my relationship with my son.

Call him if you need a divorce!

This lawyer is the real deal. I went to another attorney for my divorce first but that didn't last long because she really didn't seem like she knew what she was doing. A friend recommended Aubrey Burton to me. Mr. Burton put me at ease right away during this difficult time in my life. He expl...ained the process to me and answered all of my questions. He is really smart. I really had a lot of questions because I didn't want to make a mistake like I did with the first lawyer. One thing I can tell you about Mr. Burton is that he really fought for me. He gave me a realistic evaluation of my situation. He didn't just tell me things that he knew I wanted to hear. He knows these courts in Maryland and I think that made a difference. He treated me like a partner in my case and didn't just blow me off. That really meant a lot to me. I would recommend this lawyer. I hope I don't need to use him for a divorce again but I would definitely seek his advice when I start my business.

Professionalism

I used Mr. Burton for my divorce proceeding and to draw up a separation agreement. Mr. Burton's mannerism was definitely professional be he should really consider the professional manner of his staff as a reflection on him. Simple requests were not understood by his staff and the messages from his ...staff were not professionally relayed. As an attorney, Mr. Burton was acceptable. My main issue was the lack of a response. It would take literally weeks before you would get a response to emails or phone calls. Working in the legal field, I can understand how attorneys can be overwhelmed but you can rest assure them invoices were timely. My case was simple as both sides were in agreement before Mr. Burton was hired. One would think this made the case cut and dry. It dragged on for an extended period because of lack of response. I would not say Mr. Burton is a bad attorney but he should definitely consider his response time. A friend asked for a referral and due to the unresponsiveness from the Burton firm, I was very hesitant to pass along his information. It's unfortunate, but clients don't like to chase their lawyers down when they are spending hundreds of dollars an hour. But keep in mind, any response you get will cost you -- forget about your time (you don't get paid for the time spend chasing him down). Would I like to recommend Mr. Burton YES but unfortunately I can't under these circumstances. Hopefully Mr. Burton will work on that part of his business and I wish him much success in the future.
