Unimpressed by Blair Howard

* Phone calls not returned promptly. * Could not remember basic information about my case (every time I spoke with him I had to repeat basic case information to him). * Insisted that I should gather all EMT, hospital, and police reports, as well as coordinate interviews with witnesses. * Billed me... for a "Consultant" that he told me he was not going to contact (and I had told him not to contact this "consultant". * 1-business day before my court date, Blair Howard told me he did not subpoena any witnesses and that if I would like him to, he would have to ask for a continuance from the courts (and more money from me). * Was 20 minutes late for court (as in, court started 20 minutes before he arrived). * Insisted that I should take a "good plea deal" offered by the Commonwealth's Attorney-- later I found out that people with more serious offenses and NO attorney were offered the same "deal" that I was offered, or better. * Managed to spend the $5k retainer and then sent a bill for almost $3K more for what should have been a simple case.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
