Mary Elizabeth Witzel

Mary Witzel is an associate attorney at Dunlap Bennett & Ludwig PLLC. Her primary focus is in intellectual property law, specificaly trademark and copyright law. Her practice also includes corporate law, transactional law, and trusts and estates. She is licensed to practice in Virginia.

Prior to joining Dunlap Bennett & Ludwig, Witzel was an associate attorney at a boutique intellectual property firm in Richmond, VA, where she focused her practice on trademark prosecution, trademark enforcement, and copyright law. While in law school, she worked for two years as a law clerk at an insurance subrogation firm in Washington D.C., interned at a Juvenile & Domestic Relations District Court in Alexandria, VA, and worked as a legal intern in the Office of Legal Affairs at the Legal Services Corporation.

Witzel graduated from The George Washington University Law School with a Juris Doctor in 2014. While in law school, she served as executive articles editor on the student editorial board of the American Intellectual Property Law Association Quartlery Journal, wrote a note on trade secrets, and studied copyright law. She graduated cum laude with a Bacehlor of Arts from George Wythe University in 2010.
