Unfortunately there is no law that REQUIRES employers to sponsor foreign workers for green cards.

There is an ICE hotline number you can call 1-866-347-2423 but remember that if you say anything untrue, you yourself may be in trouble.

There may be terms in your lease that address this as well - were the appliances replaced because they HAD to be or were they more of upgrades?

Your husband is not responsible for anything - you will no longer be entitled to H-4 status once the divorce is finalized.
