Unfortunately some USCIS officers are just quicker than others - final decisions on cases can take a couple of months even after an RFE is issued. ...

I have a valid L2 till 2017 and EAD. Will my EAD be valid if I go back to India for a month. My husband has valid L1A till 2017.

Your EAD will still be valid as long as you re-enter in L-2 status and your husband is maintaining L-1 status.
