I had hesitated at obtaining a lawyer for my case due to financial reason. Sure there are immigration firms that are affordable but you wouldn't know the extent of their services. Her guidance, especially what your privileges are as soon as you file, are so precious that you feel secure the entire process. You only need to follow her advise and instructions and pray as you go along. I still feel privileged and giddy every time I think back to my adjustment of status case. My green card (family-based) was approved without interview! That is really something! The journey took more than a year and the delay was mostly to my not being able to provide all the docs upon filing. Still, the work permit and travel parole came at a reasonable time. The experience made me a firm believer of good representation. I felt that with an exceptional firm backing your application up, your case will be given a better evaluation.
