Joseph Edward McGuire Jr.

I’ve worked with Mr. McGuire through out the years (at least 8 years and counting). He’s never turned down one of my cases- whether it be traffic, criminal or family law. He’s up for the challenge and makes it super easy on his clients. I’ll never forget this big case my brothers were involved in.... Of the various attorneys consulted, he was the only one to physically comes to the scene and survey witnesses. He’s committed and dedicated to helping. He’s the first and only attorney I call.

I endured the constant yelling and cursing and unprofessional attitude because I was told by a friend that he had a very effective trial demeanor. He lost my case because he refused to object to a 3rd party witness. The witness was not previously identified and was the reason I lost my case (judge sa...id so 3 times when she announced the decision) . I asked Joe why she was allowed to testify (according to 3 other lawyers, Joe could have objected and she would not have testified). Joe lost my case, he was counting on a slam dunk, which it should have been. He forgot that even with a loss his job was to protect my interests. He assured me and my parents that the other side did not have a case. I have to pay child support and watch as the drunk and negligent father of my children raises them. I now have to spend thousands (25-30k estimate from new attorney) on an appeal. All I wanted was my children back from my crazy ex and I am 8k in debt from Joe and unable to even pay my bills from unfair child support. There was no reason I should have lost my case but Joe was focused on bashing the other attorney and forgot that my children's future and mine was resting on this case.

This lawyer, Joseph McGuire is TERRIBLE!!!!! Filed divorce through him. He let it drag on, constantly "loosing my information" while moving offices and problems through his secretary. He offered to then handle the case at a reduced cost because of the long delay in filing. He constantly made mistakes... in the draft, having to revise each draft to be accurate. When this case still was not filed, I cancelled the case, only to find out that he charged me for the whole retainer and did not honor the reduced cost.
