Mr. Gallant was born in New York, New York. He attended Fordham University, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1989. After receiving his Juris Doctor degree from Catholic University of America in 1995, Mr. Gallant was admitted to the New York Bar in June 1995 and the District of Columbia Bar in December 1996. Additionally, he is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the District of Columbia.
Before joining Pollack & Flanders to open their Washington, D.C., office, Mr. Gallant was a partner of Ashcraft & Gerel, LLP, and Herman, Mathis, Casey, Kitchens & Gerel, LLP. Mr. Gallant has spent the majority of his professional career practicing in the area of pharmaceutical and medical device products liability. He has been instrumental in pursuing litigation concerning the diet drugs Fen-phen and Redux®, silicone gel breast implants, the gastroesophageal reflux medication Propulsid, hormone replacement therapy Prempro™, diabetes drugs Rezulin, Avandia and Actos, the birth control patch Ortho Evra, and knee and hip replacement systems.
Mr. Gallant is actively involved in professional organizations such as the American Association for Justice, the D.C. Bar Association and the Trial Lawyers Association of Metropolitan Washington, D.C.
