John Ryan is a registered patent attorney with more than 30 years of experience in handling matters involving litigation, due diligence, licensing, opinion work (e.g., infringement, validity, and freedom-to-operate opinions) portfolio management, and patent preparation and prosecution. He has worked in a wide variety of technical disciplines including chemistry, biotechnology, medical device, biologics, in-vitro diagnostics, pharmaceuticals, catalytic antibodies and antibody engineering, antibiotics, veterinary compounds, genetics, protein/proteomics, drug delivery, vaccines, health care, dental and aerospace adhesives, dental and surgical devices, automotive devices, telecommunication, and electronic devices and computers.
John previously served as vice president and chief patent counsel for an international diagnostic company.
John was also an adjunct professor at Albany Law School and taught courses on the licensing of intellectual property.
