Outstanding! At my first meeting with Attorney Sokolow , I was informed of the different avenues my case might take. Attorney Soklolow and his staff kept me informed on every detail related to my case. I needed an attorney who knew Landlord and Tenant Laws for the District of Columbia. I had a t...enant who refused to move from a property, I wanted to sell. In my case the tenant moved and and the home was sold. Without the knowledge and support of Attorney Sokolow, I know the result would have not been favorable. I highly recommend, Attorney Sokolow to landlords and real estate professionals.

Consistent, reliable, knowledgable

I appreciate an attorney that spends time in court but still has time for his clients. Aaron is responsive on email and it's nice to be able to pull up an old email to review what was discussed. He is reliable. He has been successful in getting several tenants evicted for me and got them on paymen...t plans they're keeping. Finally Aaron is very knowledgeable on DC tenant law. I enjoy reading his blog and appreciate the way he uses it to keep clients informed. As a small landlord I appreciate that Aaron doesn't make me feel like a small client. He's quick to respond. The invoices are thorough and include summations of conversations.

Very Communicative and resolved all issues!

We may be biased coming from a not so great experience with our previous attorney for landlord tenant cases in DC but Aaron and his team we've dealt with have been the exact opposite in a very positive way. I came across Aaron on an internet search, we were running short on time and options to resolv...e some of our active cases so we gave him a chance. Aaron and his team have resolved not only outstanding issues we had from our previous representation but we have developed a confidence with their offices that we have yet to have a case where we were not fully represented. We have come across some 'interesting' cases where it is not a cut and dry approach but Aaron has always given us great advice with alternative approaches to achieve the same results. Bottom line, Aaron has accepted anything we've thrown his way, he's never turned us away and his pricing structure was upfront and honest. I'd recommend Aaron to ANYONE!!

Spectacular Landlord/Tenant Attorney!

I am a real estate agent in the District of Columbia and work closely with investors/buyers in obtaining investment properties. Often we come across homes with existing tenants. All those who have invested in DC before know that the worst properties to purchase are ones with existing tenants in the... District because DC is pro-tenant on ALL levels! I came to know Mr. Sokolow on a matter relating to a case in NE DC whereby tenant had occupied the property we purchased in 2013. Tenant would not pay rent and stayed for 15 months at the home paying nothing, was unresponsive to notices we would send her, and would not allow access to the property! To make the situation even more complicated, we were dealing with a tenant who used to be an attorney who took us through the ringer since she clearly knew the loopholes on tying up a property as a tenant!!! We obtained Mr. Sokolow's services in October 2014 and by December Mr Sokolow was in court with the first hearing. By January 20th we were scheduled for trial! Never having met Mr Sokolow, the day of the trial, he sat down with me for a good 10-20 min period to review my documents of evidence and off to trial we went. Mr Sokolow was able to put information together in such an impressive timely manner given the short time allowed for us to collaborate but he shined like a star in the courtroom! His knowledge of landlord/tenant law is quite impeccable! Almost seemed like he fought with his hands behind his back! He had quick and efficient rebuttal and backed the Defendant to the wall on numerous occasions by proving she lied in her own testimony. Mr. Sokolow never made me feel nervous about testifying. He merely instructed to recollect the facts and truth and used it to the fullest to obtain the Judge's decision for possession. Even the Judge had to comment by saying the Defendant "whipsawed her own testimony". My sincere gratitude and appreciation to Mr. Sokolow for his services on what seemed like a never ending nightmare!!

Landlord and Tenant Issues

Aaron is a straight shooting attorney and he does not paint any pretty pictures. If you have a weak case he will inform you of that fact. What I like about Aaron the most, is that he is a loyal unwavering advocate for landlords and this is a rare trait. I currently have a very difficult and d...estructive tenant and for more than four years I have been trying to get this tenant out of my property. I have worked with a few attorneys in the past but I was unsuccessful in getting this tenant out of my property. I was considering selling this property and moving on. One day, I decided to go to court to look for an attorney that at least seemed genuinely interesting in helping landlords. I watched several attorneys present their cases in front of the judge. I observed this well-spoken and passionate attorney argue his cases before the court. He also challenged the judge and the opposing attorney with fervor and commitment. I was moved with his dedication and enthusiasm. I contacted his Mr. Sokolow and the rest is history. Aaron was able to assist me with this difficult tenant even when I had no faith in obtaining a positive outcome. Through his efforts, this tenant will be moving out of my property in less to within 45 days due to an agreement he forged that the tenant, the tenant's attorney, and the court approved. If you are looking for an attorney that is honest, aggressive, and one who really looks for options to help landlords with difficult tenants, then Mr. Aaron G. Sokolow is the attorney for you.

"I strongly endorse this lawyer! He was opposing counsel on a landlord & tenant matter, where he zealously represented his client: being quick witted, knowledgeable, and worked strongly toward his case, while being civil to me in the process, even throughout our differences in the matter. He is a great advocate for his clients and I strongly recommend him to anyone looking for a landlord & tenant attorney!"
