Vice President Front Range Bald Eagle Studies

Bill was the lead from MGE on a lawsuit versus U.S. Fish and Wildlife for our non-profit regarding a permit to allow disturbance of a Bald Eagle nest in the northern Colorado Front Range. As far as I know, this type of lawsuit regarding a nest permit by USFW has not been challenged previously. Bill a...nd MGE became our lead representation after a few months working with another local environmental law firm. While I had a good relationship with the local attorneys, it gave me a good comparative baseline for my work with Bill. In the specialty of environmental law, especially federal cases, one would be hard-pressed to find anyone that has the knowledge, experience, incredible work ethic and timeliness, and is as personable as Bill. I really couldn't give anyone that I have ever worked with a more glowing recommendation. We won several important aspects of our federal lawsuit, and I am grateful for that. Sincerely Dana, Front Range Nesting Bald Eagle Studies

Skilled Environmental and Conservation Litigator and Advocate

Having worked directly with Bill and his firm, Meyer Glitzenstein & Eubanks (MGE), both on the client side, and also formerly as opposing counsel, I can say that Bill is one of the most thoughtful, thorough, and well-prepared environmental and natural resources litigators who I have worked with. Bill... is both a very sharp and skilled writer, who produces superb and persuasive briefs, and he is also a sharp and skilled oral advocate, who can masterfully present a complex case in the courtroom during oral argument. Bill also brings a wealth of big picture strategic insight to complex legal issues given his and his firm's broad involvement and leadership in many significant matters of national importance. Additionally, Bill and his firm's strong commitment to public interest work and non-profit clients shines through in their work, as they bring a sincere enthusiasm and passion in vigorously advancing their client's conservation and environmental interests and missions.

Endangered Species Act case

Mr. Eubanks did an incredible job in a very difficult forum. The case has set new legal precedent where federal agencies legal requirement to "conserve" species is now codified. The specific section of the Endangered Species Act is 7(a)(1). The agencies (US Department of Agriculture and Department... of Justice) did everything they could to stall, obstruct and confuse the judge. Mr. Eubanks categorically defeated their tactics in a case that lasted almost five years. He is tough, tenacious and brilliant. His presence in the courtroom is dominant as he is so knowledgeable, focused and personable.

Relationship: Fellow lawyer in community

"Bill is one of the smartest and most dedicated public interest environmental lawyers with whom I have had the opportunity to collaborate. His knowledge of public lands, wildlife and environmental law, combined with his experience and savvy in litigation, makes for a powerful combination in an advocate that is exceeded only by Bill's passion for the work. I endorse Bill without hesitation and often recommend him to other colleagues for advice and potential clients for representation."

Relationship: Worked together on matter

"I've had the pleasure of working with Bill on an environmental matter, and find his logic and writing are first rate. Even more importantly, Bill is a public interest, environmental lawyer who works to protect the environment against usually much better financed and resourced adversaries hired by corporate polluters and big government. Winning these kinds of cases requires creativity as well as competence, and Bill possesses both of these in spades."
