Steven K Barentzen

I am a Partner with and head of the Washington, D.C. office of PCT Law Group.

I am a civil litigator with over eighteen years of experience in courts throughout the United States. I represent clients in high profile cases including those involving trademark infringement, professional malpractice, fraud and overbilling, breach of contract, government contracts, theft of trade secrets, defamation, securities, and employment disputes. My clients have included a diverse spectrum of businesses and individuals including government contractors, a major accounting firm, a Sonoma County based winemaker, a regional wireless telephone company, the former Pakistani ambassador to the United States, a prominent life insurance company, and an immigration services company.

Prior to joining PCT Law Group, I was the founder and managing member of the Law Office of Steven Barentzen. My prior experiences include practicing at Preston, Gates and Ellis, Arkin Kaplan LLP, Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal, and Winthrop, Stimson Putnam and Roberts. I received a B.A. from Rutgers University and J.D. from the University of North Carolina School of Law where I graduated with honors and was a member of the North Carolina Law Review. My article "How to Protect Against Outside Counsel Overbilling," was published by Corporate Counsel on April 23, 2013.
