My energy practice particularly focuses on federal energy regulation and providing counsel to clients, and litigating on their behalf, before the U.S. Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and in apppeals from the Commission before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit. I have worked on oil pipeline, electric utility, and natural gas pipeline regulatory proceedings.

I have represented clients in complex Chapter 11 proceedings, particularly focusing on adversary proceedings brought within such reorganization proceedings.

In addition to regulatory litigation before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and appeals from the Commission to U.S. appellate courts, I have represented clients in general civil litigation matters involving breach of contract, professional malpractice and defamation claims. I also clerked in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, the "Rocket Docket", for the Honorable T.S. Ellis, before embarking on a career in private practice.
