Andrew Dewald Herman

Andrew D. Herman is the founder of The Law Firm of Andrew D. Herman, PLLC, a boutique Washington, D.C. firm with over 25 years of experience representing clients at the intersection of law and politics. Mr. Herman's practice focuses on political law and campaign finance, congressional and government investigations, white collar and criminal defense, and complex civil litigation.
Mr. Herman represents candidates, political committees, labor unions, and nonprofits navigating the complex landscape of federal and state campaign finance law, election law, and government ethics. He has represented clients before the Federal Election Commission, the U.S. Department of Justice, and congressional investigating committees. He argued and won the landmark campaign finance case, Davis v. FEC, before the U.S. Supreme Court.
Mr. Herman clerked for the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from UC San Francisco College of the Law and with High Distinction from the University of Michigan. He is admitted to practice in Washington, D.C. and California.
