Richard Gordon Hayes

     A licensed attorney with an extensive background in contract negotiations, financing, tax and licensing agreements, corporate restructuring, formations and joint ventures. Mr. Hayes is currently an Associate with Philadelphia and Washington, DC – based firm Savage & Associates Law Group, P.C., where his practice involves a variety of commercial and corporate matters that include supervision and coordination of agreements and related strategies. Additionally, Mr. Hayes teaches contract and real estate law as an Adjunct Professor at Georgetown University School of Continuing Studies. 

     A native of St. Louis, Missouri, Mr. Hayes previously served as a representative of the Missouri Department of Economic Development (DED) throughout the St. Louis Metropolitan region, where he advised nonprofits and area communities in administration and strategic planning, assessment, visioning and sustainability projections, and prioritization for long-term efficient community growth and development. 

     Mr. Hayes has advocated on the behalf of others much of his professional career, particularly for low-income, distressed and underserved communities. He has represented low-income residents before the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to lower or abate past tax liabilities and regularly conducts individual tax education and awareness presentations to low-income families and individuals throughout the District of Columbia. 

     Mr. Hayes earned his bachelor’s degree in Urban Affairs from Harris-Stowe State University and his law degree from the University of the District of Columbia – The David A. Clarke School of Law.
