Todd did a great job taking on my reckless driving case. I was going 82 in 55 and had negative points on my record. I was really worried about the outcome, but Todd was able to get it dropped to just a fine and nothing that would impact my record. Mr. Todd Baldwin has done an outstanding job in defending my reckless driving case in Fairfax, to the point of even having it dropped. He did everything he could to help me have the best possible outcome. I also needed a charge expunged and he was greatly efficient and quick on getting it done with.... Mr. Baldwin was my lawyer for an Ambien DUI. I had a prescription for Ambien and I took it as prescribed. Unfortunately, DUIs are extremely political and the police, DAs and judges are under a lot of pressure to get convictions. He has been a criminal attorney in Northern Virginia for over 20 years and is extremely knowledgeable about the legal process (both formal and informal) in all the Northern Virginia counties. He knows how to “work the system” which unfortunately is critical for any kind of victory in the Virginia legal system. Mr. Baldwin successfully argued that we could use involuntary intoxication as a defense for an Ambien DUI. As far as I can tell, he is the first lawyer to successfully do this in Virginia. I know that people often joke about corrupt lawyers, but I can honestly tell you, that the most moral person in the court proceedings that I witnessed was Mr. Baldwin. It was far more important for everyone else to get the conviction than to listen to the facts of the case. I always felt that Mr. Baldwin listened to what I had to say. He always answered my questions even when I asked them over and over again. I never felt like he was talking down to me. He also spent a significant amount of time calming me down. It is unbearably depressing to know you are innocent and have the state tell you aren’t. He never pressured me to take the plea deal and I always felt that he believed me. The consequences of DUIs, even for a first offense, can be catastrophic and far outweigh the “crime”. There is no question that you are presumed guilty of a DUI in Virginia’s traffic courts. If you want any hope of a reduced sentence or acquittal, you are going to need a good attorney. Mr. Baldwin certainly has the experience that you will need with the bonus of integrity and compassion. From what I witnessed, he was the only person in that courtroom with those qualities.

I have nothing but honest and great things to say about Mr. Baldwin. He has a caring, laid back, cool personality. I have never seen anyone so straight forward and honest about any situation. He will make sure you feel comfortable with him and any decision that he proposes to make with your case. Ext...remely knowledgeable and familiar with the laws and rights as a American citizen and will do his best to exercise them. I was really nervous about the outcome of my case because it was a very serious offense and with my prior arrest I was prepared for the worst, Mr. Baldwin ensured me that I was going to be fine and prepare for the best. I was facing 6 - 12 months in prison with a pretty hefty fine as the law states. I ended up with 1 year probation with NO jail time and no fine to pay just court fees, which in my case is good because I got to continue working my job and I didn't have to pay that hefty fine. He is also very passionate about what he does and gives his best efforts to make the ruling in your(his) favor. In my eyes Mr. Baldwin is the best lawyer for hire. I would recommend him for any case and would rehire him for any other case I may encounter in the future.
