Daniel Tyler Rabenold

Based on my personal experience this has to be the most incompetent and deceitful group of lawyers ever. I hired Daniel Rabenold in the beginning of August to simply write up a custody agreement. My child's father and I agreed to the custody arrangements outside of court, so all Daniel Rabenhold had... to do was simply right up the custody agreement and file it through the courts. We spoke over the phone a few times but within one month I lost all communication. The last conversation I had with him in August, I explained what my child's father and I agreed to. Daniel Rabenold told me that he would write up the custody agreement for us. He was to then send the agreement to my child's father for him to sign, then for me to sign. I was then supposed to bring the order to Daniel so he can file it. I've never had to deal with this before. I've never had to hire a lawyer period, so I honestly don't even know if that was the proper procedure or not. After not hearing or receiving anything after 2 weeks, I tried to email him. No response. I tried to email him a week later. A return email was sent to me saying that the email address that I used was invalid. It wasn't, it was the same email address that we have been communicating with since I hired him. I then proceeded to call his office in September and left multiple voicemails explaining that I've been trying to reach him via email and how the email came back saying that the email address isn't valid. How I also simply wanted to inquire about the status of my case and if I could do anything to expedite the process for I wanted this behind me.. and once again I got no response. I gave up and kind of lost hope. But I couldn't forget how this man stole my money and ran during one of the most delicate times of my life. So I started reaching out again. In the beginning of November I called to inquire about getting a refund and his reception told me that they would have somebody call me by the end of the day. I waited almost a week out of courtesy. I called back after that week and his receptionist once again told me that he was busy, in court. Told me once again that she would have him call me by the end of the day. Nothing. I waited one week out of courtesy again. I called back and was told he was in his office. I was on hold for over 10 minutes, but he did finally answer my phone call after 3 months. This man had the audacity to tell me that I must have been using the wrong email address. But when asked why I haven't heard from him in 3 months and why I don't have a legalized custody agreement in my possession, he had zero answers. He couldn't explain how nothing ever came of my case, how he never contacted me and how I don't have a custody agreement in my hands..when that's what I paid him to do months ago! He said that he would close my case and send out a refund check. I was grateful. I waited 2 weeks, looking every day in my mailbox, finally I called back. This time he was in a meeting. His receptionist said that she would have him call me when he was done. Hours passed and I called back. After once again a long wait on hold I finally got through to him. He apologized and said he doesn't know what happened to my check. He reiterated my address to make sure it was sent to the correct address. He said that he sent check number blah blah blah out in the mail and so on and so forth. I knew it was a lie. I simply asked him if he could go ahead and cancel that check and send me a new one. He said yes and he apologized because he knows I've been waiting a long time. It has once again been 2 weeks and I'm getting tired of having to call to have my money returned for services that I paid for and never recieved. He stole from me. That's it. And I believe I've been more than patient.. I'm not the type to go and make my business public but I do believe that everyone needs to know who they're hiring. I personally would never hire these "men" again. Be beware and stay clear.
