Cheryl J. Allerton concentrates her practice in litigation, including commercial litigation, equine law, animal law, landlord/tenant, agricultural law, alternative dispute resolution, and general business law. As a Chancellor’s Scholar, she received her Bachelor of Arts Degree, summa cum laude, from the University of Pittsburgh; and received her law degree from Duquesne University, where she was a member of the Duquesne University Law Review. Cheryl is a certified mediator, offering evaluative, transformative and facilitative mediation services. In addition, Cheryl was certified as a collaborative law professional by the Collaborative Law Association of Southwestern Pennsylvania in 2011. In addition, she is a member of the American College of Equine Attorneys. Presently, Cheryl serves on the board of Berks Equine Council, an organization dedicated to the promotion and development of the equine industry in Berks County, and is a member of the Pennsylvania Trails Advisory Board for the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. She has also served on the Penn State-Berks County Cooperative Extension Board, and is an avid horse enthusiast.
