Conversion from Chapter 13 to Chapter 7

Debtors filed Chapter 13 bankruptcy while working with another attorney. After six months debtors could no longer afford their monthly Chapter 13 plan payments. I reviewed their case, amended the Mea ... ns Test and was able to qualify them for a Chapter 7 discharge. Not only do clients no longer have to make a monthly plan payment, they received a check back from the Trustee for $7,000 (which they get to keep), plus they are being granted a discharge of debts. Clients are now debt free with $7,000 in the bank.
