OUTCOME: Plaintiff verdict: $3,776.

Plaintiff was involved in a rear-end accident with my client. Liability was admitted. However, the vast majority of plaintiff's treatment occurred after a second, more significant, at-fault accident ... that occurred out of state. I argued that the second accident constituted a subsequent intervening cause that curtailed my client's liability for plaintiff's ongoing damages. Plaintiff asked the jury for $500,000 and defendant asked the jury for $3,776.
