State v. F.E., Circuit Court of Cook County, Criminal Division.
N/AOUTCOME: Ybarra's client found not guilty of all charges.
Attorney Ybarra’s client was charged with residential burglary and attempted residential burglary. The prosecutors elected to proceed on each charge separately. That did not matter to Attorney Ybarra ... . He took both the residential burglary and attempted residential burglary matters to trial and got a not guilty in both trials. As the only evidence about the alleged crime case from eye-witness testimony, Attorney Ybarra was able to cross-examine the prosecution’s main witness, proving that he had motive to lie. After Attorney Ybarra’s cross-examination, the judge stated that the prosecution’s witness was not credible, thus Ybarra’s client was found not guilty after both trials.
