Eric J. Landes

He was knowledgeable and sold me on his ability to win on a credit card judgment. He lost and claimed he attended hearing and was unsuccessful but would appeal it with the county. They claimed attorney on county side left firm and it was not reassigned. He has been in appeal for almost a year. Never ...returns my calls, or responds to my emails. I paid him money with NO services provided. How can he get away with taking money from people and not do his job? He can because he is a lawyer? I am reporting him and filing a complaint with the proper authority to at least try and prevent this from happening to others. DO NOT hire him. He is a great sales man, that’s it.

This ended with Eric Landes not only not responding to texts, emails, or calls, but him not updating me on the status of open cases. It was unbelievable to me that an attorney would literally ghost a paying client. I hired Eric to handle a landlord-tenant dispute. As the landlord, I wanted to be r...epresented. I had to call 6 numbers to find out the status of my suit because Eric disappeared. I don't know if he got nervous because he gave me the wrong date and allowed the tenant to receive a judgement in her favor, or he is just unprofessional. Looking at some recent reviews, I'm not the only person he's done this to.

I hired him for a credit card case and he did not reach out whenever the case was continued to update me. I had to contact him or look up the case myself to find out. A judgement was found against me and I was ordered to pay and once again I had to contact him to find this out. He told me he would fo...llow up with the judge, but never heard back. I have emailed him multiple times to follow up and have not received a response. I had to contact the court to find out info that I requested from him and never received a response back. They will be mailing me the requested info.

I contacted NOLO on a Tuesday evening because I had a legal situation with a car dealership where I did a voluntary repossession two years earlier. I did not have high expectations because I had already consulted with a few lawyers who were not very helpful. Thursday morning I received a call from Mr.... Landes who informed me that he had been given information about my case. He was not mechanical or dry as I have found with other lawyers. He had a warmth that I could feel through the telephone and it let me know that he cared about my matter. I hired him on the spot. Mr. Landes asked very specific questions and then told me he would call me back after he checked out a few things on the ujs portal and he said that he was going to call the court directly. Within ten minutes he called me back with astounding information that allowed me to get immediate resolution to my case. Literally within 30 minutes of initially speaking with Mr. Landes my case was resolved by a simple measure that none of the other lawyers I consulted with would tell me. Mr. Landes also charged a very, extremely, reasonable fee for his services. It is my opinion that Mr. Landes is a lawyer with a heart who is not only concerned about getting as much money from the client as possible. He is altruistic in that he seems to care about your case and he speaks to you softly. What I mean by this is when people are going to court they’re already frightened, angry or just frustrated. He seems to have the social skills to calm you down and you immediately know that everything is going to be alright. I even understand what to do in the event that the defendant in my case tries to make a counterclaim. Mr. Landes could be a teacher to those in legal predicaments, not simply an attorney. I give him the highest recommendation possible. I give his this five star, positive referral with every fiber of my being.
