Highly Recommend

It is not every day that you need an attorney, it can be a daunting task to find the best fit when you suddenly need one. I found Mr. McMenamin thanks to Avvo and my employer benefit program. We discussed my matter through email, then on the phone and after our first meeting, I hired him. Like other ...reviewers, I felt informed on my issue, the process and what to expect. I also felt that I was not just listened to but heard and informed of what was entailed in each choice and that all of my options were discussed. You enter into your legal matter with certain expectations, some fool hardy thoughts and even then, he would patiently discuss, fully inform you of what it will entail, cost and if he would advise it or not. The now fully informed decision is always up to you. Mr. McMenamin was very patient in answering all my questions and always returned a call or email. The office staff is just wonderful, friendly and patient, always there to help. I am pleased with my experience with this office and I highly recommend this attorney.

Avoid at all costs

Mr. McMenamin represented me in 2004 and essentially bullied/convinced me into pleading guilty to a DUI (it was a 50/50 call as to whether it was a legal car stop and McMenamin didn't even move to suppress). I was young and didn't really understand what was going on, so while I'm not blameless, there...'s a reason people have lawyers when they face criminal charges. I was on probation at the time and despite my telling Mr. McMenamin of that fact, he told me I would not be affected. As soon as I walked to to the probation office after pleading guilty they found me in violation of probation, lodged a detainer and I was incarcerated for 40 days waiting on a Gagnon hearing. Thankfully Mr. McMenamin was nowhere to be found and through the kindness of another GOOD Montgomery County attorney, who represented me pro-bono (he felt bad about how poorly McMenamin's representation was) and I was released after the Gagnon. Honestly, he didn't strike me as a mean person, but he is incompetent and lazy and those are a deadly combination for a criminal defense attorney. I wouldn't retain him again if he paid me, so I highly recommend against actually paying him to represent you.

I highly recommend!

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank you for your efforts concerning the legal issue you assisted me with. If you remember my entrie family was being harassed. I don't think they ever considered that I might contact an attorney. Thank you again for all your efforts on my behalf. I would hig...hly recommend your firm's services to anyone.

You're Awesome

Thanks again for everything you've done for my family and I. You're a rockstar. I was charged with a crime I did not commit. Mr. McMenamin confronted the police in Court and fought for me. In the end the judge agreed with Pat's argument and the charges were dismissed. I recommend Mr. McMenamin when... you need legal help.

Pat McMenamin gave me peace of mind

My son and I have had the opportunity to be represented by Pat McMenamin in two separate instances and I will always choose him as my attorney. The outcome in both cases was more than satisfactory. During the entire process I felt that I was informed on what was happening and what to expect. All our... options were always discussed and Pat was very patient in answering all my questions. The peace of mind received from my confidence in my attorney was one of the biggest factors in helping me get through these difficult times. If any of my friends or family ever needed an attorney I will recommend Pat McMenamin.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
