Colin Esgro represents people who have suffered serious civil wrongs, with a focus on nursing home abuse, hospital neglect, sexual abuse, and personal injury. He brings sharp legal analysis and real empathy to every case, digging into the details, anticipating the other side's defenses, and building clear arguments for clients who have been harmed.
Colin started building those skills early. As a law student, he clerked for the Pennsylvania Office of the Attorney General and for the Honorable Arthur J. Schwab of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. He then joined a national nursing home abuse firm, where he ran cases from investigation through litigation. In 2021 he joined Murray Stone & Wilson, PLLC, reuniting with colleagues who share his commitment to fighting for everyday people. Today he handles nursing home and hospital neglect matters, often involving preventable harm like bedsores and pressure injuries, along with product liability, negligent security, and other catastrophic injury cases.
His instinct for advocacy goes back to Scranton High School, where he became a two-time state policy debate champion, and continued at the University of Pittsburgh on a debate scholarship. Learning to argue both sides of an issue is a skill he still puts to use against opposing counsel.
Raised in a working-class Scranton neighborhood, Colin has a lasting respect for hardworking families and a commitment to standing up for people without much power. He takes the trust families place in him seriously, especially those grieving a loved one, and works to shift the blame off them and onto the institutions that failed to provide proper care. He now lives near Pittsburgh with his wife and two young sons, and spends much of his free time coaching their flag football and baseball teams.
