Excellent!

We were pleased with Karl’s responsiveness and know how. He was a great help in negotiating a settlement.

Precisionist

Karl Prior took an active interest in my husband, his client: my husband was not just his client who came to him during one of the greatest threats and stresses of our life, Karl treated my husband with dignity, kindness and actually like a son to a father. Based on our experience, Karl took an inte...rest in the well-being and mental well-being of my husband, of me and of our case. His interest in us made us feel like he was a family member and not just an attorney we hired. Karl's treatment of my husband's well-being was so intensely personal. During one of our visits, Karl removed his own jacket and lovingly placed it around my husband's shivering shoulders. He always offered discriminating and meticulous advice, such as the time he reminded my husband that, "these people are not your friends and don't let their words fool you." He affectionately referred to my husband as "My Boy"; even to this day, many years later, he still refers to him as "My Boy". In Court, Karl displayed his brilliance, his precision and meticulous strategy: while questioning the individual under oath, Karl's approach was micro in detail, however, his strategy was macro in perspective. His questions, and the details he obtained, were like building blocks adding up to a total picture. In reading the court transcripts of our case, I saw this disciplined approach repeatedly as he questioned each witness. The strategy was brilliant and noticably different from the opposing attorneys. At first glance, the questions appeared to be merely questions to elicit responses, but in reality, they elicited details important to the case. Karl was always able to see the big picture from the beginning and his strategy was to make sure all the details established the fullest, clearest picture without question. Throughout our three year ordeal, Karl never lost sight of the big picture: he always believed we would win our multi-layered case with so many tiers and issues; he was the voice of calm and hope for us. Lastly, because this fight for our lives was exceedingly expensive, Karl was very compassionate. Unlike other attorneys who nickeled and dimed us for every little thing, Karl gave us periodic discounts. He did not have to give them to us and we never asked for them, but he kindly offered them. Karl is a brilliant, meticulous, disciplined precisionist with a kind, compassionate heart. This is a rare quality in a lawyer. He is a mensch. Using the words of my husband, "he is the best attorney I ever met." I concur.
