Rob Donatoni represented my son 4 years ago. I did not hire him, but I and other relatives assisted with his payment. His lack of energy, imagination and his forgetfulness was instrumental in my son's conviction. He had the opportunity to defend an innocent man and instead assisted him into state pri...son. My son had a court room full of supporters and all agreed to Rob's incompetence. He forgot part of his plan for cross examination of the state's witnesses and never recalled them. He even had his cell phone in his pocket AND turned on during cross examination. It was conflicting with the sound system in the court room, making horrible sounds. It was very irritating to the jury and to the whole court. During testimony, the main accuser revealed she waited to go to the police until two of her therapists told her she should. Chance to pursue that this woman was neurotic at the least? Chance not taken by Rob. He mumbled through his closing argument, which was pathetically weak. He barely tried to cross exam the investigating officer by NOT bringing out all the irregularities (and possibly illegal) methods during the investigation. Robert Donatoni's lack of professional conduct and lazy defense has caused my son and his family untold grief and heartbreak. He failed at the job he was hired to do and was paid for handsomely . My thought is that Rob was more interested in his relationship with Trooper Hershey (the investigator) so to curry favor in future cases. PLEASE DO NOT hire Robert Donatoni.
