Katherine McBeth

Katherine McBeth is an associate in the Saxton & Stump Healthcare Litigation and Risk Management and Quality Assurance groups, working out of the firm’s Malvern office. She represents hospitals, doctors, and healthcare professionals in healthcare litigation, guiding clients with issues involving risk mitigation, crisis management, patient safety, and liability exposure. Katherine also represents healthcare clients before the state licensing board and assists in the defense of whistleblower and qui tam actions related to Medicare and Medicaid fraud.

Katherine began her career as a products liability and mass tort associate at an international firm where she represented major pharmaceutical, medical device, and consumer goods companies in individual cases, mass tort proceedings, and multidistrict litigation in both state and federal courts. Katherine then continued her career at another firm headquartered in Philadelphia as a healthcare associate where she represented healthcare providers against professional liability claims in pre-suit and active litigation.

After graduating from LaSalle University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in both political science and history, Katherine earned her law degree from Georgetown University Law Center. During law school, she participated in a medical-legal partnership between Georgetown University Law Center and Georgetown University School of Medicine where she presented on how the legal and medical communities can work collaboratively to obtain civil protection orders for victims of domestic violence. As a junior associate, she utilized this experience by representing a pro bono client during a protection from abuse hearing. While in law school, Katherine gained litigation experience serving as a member of the Trial Advocacy Team, legal intern in the Civil Department of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and summer associate.
