Joseph William Brucker

I am an attorney in the Saxton & Stump Senior Care and Trusts and Estates groups. I work with continuing care retirement communities, post-acute and long-term care facilities, assisted living residences, doctors, nurses, and more on regulatory and operational needs, risk mitigation, compliance, and litigation. I previously worked as a law clerk at a Philadelphia-area firm while still in law school, as well as working in an extern position at the Delaware County Register of Wills & Clerk of Orphans’ Court Division.

Before moving into law, I held management positions in various offices throughout my graduate school alma mater, the University of Pennsylvania, where I received a master’s degree in public administration. I also held leadership roles in the school’s Pension Research Council, Boettner Center for Retirement Research, and the Annenberg School of Communications.

I have high-level corporate tax experience as an associate at a global management consulting company focusing on mid-level businesses. I prepared tax returns on behalf of partnerships, S-corps, C-corps, and high-net-worth individuals, and also filed automatic and non-automatic accounting method changes with the IRS on behalf of corporate clients. I am working toward my LL.M. in taxation at the Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law, where I previously received my law degree.
