David James MacMain

After graduating from college, and prior to beginning his legal career, David served as a Pennsylvania State Trooper stationed at the Avondale, Chester County Barracks where he engaged in all aspects of police work including patrol, accident investigation and criminal investigation, in the twenty-seven (27) municipalities that the Avondale station covered. David worked several jobs to support his family while putting himself through law school at Temple University School of Law.

David began his legal career with the Philadelphia law firm of Montgomery McCracken where he began as a clerk during his final year of law school, thereafter was offered and worked as an associate for seven (7) years, before being named as a partner in 1997. During his eighteen (18) year tenure at Montgomery McCracken, David served as Chair of the Governmental Liability and Civil Rights Practice Group, Vice-Chair of the Insurance Defense Practice Group, and as a member of the firm’s Hiring Committee, Diversity Committee, and Summer Associate Committee.

In 2009, David moved his practice to the West Chester law firm of Lamb McErlane, where he was a partner and headed the firm’s Governmental Liability and Civil Rights Defense Practice Group for four (4) years, before leaving in the spring of 2013 to found The MacMain Law Group.
