Posted by Nada | August 08, 2022 | Hired Attorney | Uncontested Divorce

Worst Attorney ever!

Hired him for uncontested divorce. He send the contract without my approval to my Husband's attorney that I don't even know what is in it. He didn't file with court. Promised he will return all my fees and ended up deducted some money. His English writing sucks! He will not fight for you! Ended up fi...ring him.

Avoid using this attorney

I have never dealt with the degree of professional incompetence that my family and I experienced dealing with attorney Mark Feinman from Philadelphia, attempting to execute an estate. I will offer the lowest points: 1) Inaccuracy in almost every document received, from simple name spelling, to fi...nancials not adding up, to the common use of English language and grammar to giving wrong information to the parties 2) Never admitting errors. When asked if his work was proofread, he said his secretary doesn't proof read documents that are being expedited for quick turn around (this being ironic since there was never quick turn around!) 3) Lack of responsiveness and months to years of missed deadlines. An estate settlement that could likely have been done in 3-4 years took 6 years. Once he determined that he didn't want to answer questions, he simply didn't copy me on things or sent them by snail mail, though I had requested email use. 4) Lack of acumen about the law and negotiating with conflicting parties (which is by nature, the job of an attorney.) It regularly required follow up questions from outside lawyers or the heirs to get him to discover if and when a filing was due or a judge to tell him to get the work done. Even as the estate is closed, the heirs did not receive a final tax return or K-1 IRS form, which the internal revenue service has directly said is required from the estate's attorney. 5) Pain and suffering. It is no exaggeration that the aggravation caused by Mark Feinmann's incompetence and poor legal advice is likely actionable, if anyone had the fortitude to want to deal with him any further after an estate ordeal with him in charge. Save yourself grief. There are many many solid lawyers in the Philadelphia area. This isn't one of them.
