Oliver D. Griffin

My experience with attorney Oliver Griffin was extremely troubling. Two weeks before he became involved, I had filed a civil RICO complaint alleging hundred-million-plus financial misconduct against the company he represents. I had also been documenting issues that I believed were relevant to whistle...blowing activity. On November 2, Mr. Griffin contacted my attorney and stated he was open to discussing a potential resolution of my RICO case. Nothing in his outreach suggested any urgency or need for immediate legal action. The very next day, after the company became aware that I had been contacted in connection with matters outside the civil dispute, Mr. Griffin filed a lawsuit against me. The shift from wanting to settle my RICO case to filing a lawsuit within 24 hours felt, from my perspective, retaliatory and intended to pressure or discourage me from continuing to speak about what I had already reported. While I am not making any legal conclusions about “malicious prosecution,” the timing and tone of the filing created the clear impression that the lawsuit was reactive and connected to my whistleblower-related activity. The entire sequence left me with serious concerns about fairness, professionalism, and judgment. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend
