BACKGROUND EXPERIENCE

Upon graduation from law school, Bill practiced in Washington, D.C. with the law firm of Casey, Scott & Canfield. During this time he represented a number of insurance carriers, focusing on construction and toxic tort litigation. 

In 1987 Bill joined Budd, Larner as an associate in their Cherry Hill office. While at Budd, Larner he handled a wide range of matters, including environmental and toxic tort litigation, defense of products liability claims, public liability/§1983 claims and complex construction and commercial claims.

Since 1990, when the Delany & O'Brien partnership was formed, Bill has focused much of his time towards environmental, toxic and mass tort litigation. Bill has successfully tried over a dozen asbestos cases, in addition to serving as regional and national counsel for a number of asbestos defendants. More recently Bill has represented defendants in the latex glove litigation, and is serving as local and national counsel for a number of defendants. In his capacity as regional and national counsel, Bill has not only been called upon to handle significant matters throughout the country, but has developed strategy nationwide for defendants involved in thousands of cases.

In addition to Bill's environmental work, and related insurance coverage work, he continues to handle and supervise the defense of a variety of claims, including product liability and public liability/§1983 claims. Bill's knowledge and trial experience permit him to also handle complex commercial matters in our local state and federal courts.
