Judge Klein retired after eight years on Pennsylvania's intermediate appellate court, the Superior Court, following 28 years as a trial judge in Philadelphia. He now serves as an appellate and trial consultant, a mediator, arbitrator, and expert witness. He was the youngest judge in Pennsylvania history when he first went on the bench. He received the PA Bar's highest endorsement when he ran for the appellate court and was endorsed by every newspaper that gave endorsements. He is an honors graduate of Harvard Law School and a Phi Beta Kapp graduate of Amherst College. He writes and lecutres widely, on legal writing, "body langauge" in the Courtroom, ethics, appellate arguing, representing clients at mediation, and other topics. He taught trial advocacy for 15 years at Temple Law School. He served as edcuation leader for legal-study tours all over the world. He is co-author of the West publication, "Trial Communication Skills" He received the Pennsylvania Bar's awards for legal writing and contributions to ADR. He is also known for his role as drummer and leader of the jazz band, "The Reading Terminals."
