John Anthony DeRose Jr.

John DeRose is an experienced litigator whose practice includes complex automobile and premises liability actions, as well as products liability and medical malpractice. A successful trial lawyer, John has taken more than a dozen jury trials to verdict. He has presented lectures on the topics of jury selection strategy, as well as strategy for defending limited tort automobile insurance cases. He actively serves as a certified court arbitrator in Philadelphia.

John received his Juris Doctor in 2012 from Rutgers University School of Law-Camden. While at Rutgers, John participated in extensive pro bono work, including teaching Constitutional Law at Camden High School, representing clients in Rutgers’ Civil Practice Clinic, and representing recently released federal prisoners as part of Rutgers Federal Prisoner Reentry Program. He was presented with Rutgers' “Pro Bono Publico” award for his commitment to pro bono advocacy. He was also a member of the Rutgers Competitive Trial Team, and served as a teaching assistant during his final year on the team. He continues his involvement with the trial team as a volunteer coach and judge.

Immediately after graduating from law school, John served as a law clerk for the Honorable Colleen Maier, J.S.C. in the New Jersey Superior Court, Gloucester County.
