Biography
James P. Faunes joined Feldman Shepherd in 2016 after spending two-and-a-half years as Assistant City Solicitor with the Claims Unit, where he litigated personal injury cases for the City Law Department. Prior to that, James also worked as a defense attorney with Dechert LLP and Pepper Hamilton LLP. In addition, he completed two clinical internships with the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office and the U.S. Attorney’s Office, and a legal internship with the Montgomery County Public Defenders office.
James earned his law degree from Temple University Beasley School of Law where he was a Staff Editor of the Temple Law Review. While attending the Beasley School he was a recipient of the Outstanding Oral Advocate Award and a Fellow of the Rubin Public Interest Honor Society. James is a Board Member of the Hispanic Bar Association of Pennsylvania and a volunteer with the Congreso de Latinos Unidos.
Even though James enjoys a casual game of tennis or golf, his true passions lie in hiking and camping with his dog (Mr. Bits), and exploring Philadelphia’s robust live music scene.
James is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, Texas, and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
