I've been a criminal defense attorney in excess of 40 years. I've handled all manor of criminal cases, from misdemeanors to capital homicides. Of the more than 35 defendants I've represented in capital homicides, none of them has ever been sentenced to the death penalty. Today my practice area is varied, with an emphasis on state criminal defense, as well as defending those charged with Federal crimes. My Federal practice has included cases in the Disrict Courts from Massachusetts through Virginia, as well as all of the District Courts in Pennsylvania. To date, in total, I've tried over well over 3500 criminal cases, with approximately 125 of those being criminal homicides. Additionally, my office also handles criminal appeals. As can be seen from my areas of practice, I've expanded my areas of pracrice to include employment law and personal injury law. Many of my crimial cases have received media attention. For example, in 2013 I represented the co-defendant wife of Dr. Kermit Gosnell, the infamous Philadelphia abortion doctor. In prior years several of my capital homicide cases have garned intense local media scrutiny.  Last December I represented a defendant charged with a capital homicide for randomly shooting into a crowd of people and killing an innocent college student. That defendant was acquitted, and the case received great attention in the Philadephia press. The bottom line is that there's no substitute for experience. It's what the client wants. It's what the client pays for. It's what the client receives.
