DOUGLAS K. ROSENBLUM, is a member of the Government Enforcement, Compliance, and White Collar Litigation; Federal and State Qui Tam Litigation; and Litigation Practice Groups. Mr. Rosenblum has represented multiple entities and individuals under investigation or indictment in federal and state courts for a variety of allegations from health care fraud to violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. These representations include, but are not limited to, a former Chief Executive Officer of an American subsidiary of a multi-billion dollar manufacturer, physicians, pharmaceutical sales representatives, and defense contractors. Companies of all sizes and in many industries have utilized Mr. Rosenblum’s expertise in conducting internal investigations.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Rosenblum served as a commercial litigation associate at a well-respected law firm in Philadelphia and was an Assistant District Attorney in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. At the District Attorney’s Office, Mr. Rosenblum served in the pretrial and major crimes units before becoming the Captain of the Firearms Unit of the Trials Division. In that capacity, Mr. Rosenblum was sworn as a Special Assistant United States Attorney prosecuting violent criminals in federal court under Project Safe Neighborhoods. Mr. Rosenblum has tried dozens of cases to verdict and received commendations for successfully prosecuting criminal defendants for charges ranging from theft and burglary to robbery and murder.
Mr. Rosenblum has served as Co-Chair of the ABA White Collar Crime Committee’s Philadelphia Young Lawyers’ Division and has served as both Chair and Vice-Chair of the Montgomery Bar Association’s Rules of Criminal Court Committee. Mr. Rosenblum has also served as an arbitrator in the Court of Common Pleas of Montgomery County. Mr. Rosenblum also served on the Villanova Law Alumni Association Board of Advisors for a two-year term. Additionally, he is a member of the Pennsylvania Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
Community involvement and charitable work is of great importance to Mr. Rosenblum. He volunteers as an attorney for abused and neglected children through the Montgomery Child Advocacy Project. Mr. Rosenblum is the Founder of the Hedda L. Komins Fund for Breast Cancer Research and Prevention at Fox Chase Cancer Center and has previously served on the Board of Directors of a nonprofit corporation supporting athletics and education.
Mr. Rosenblum has been selected a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer for 2014, 2015, and 2016 in the area of White Collar Criminal Defense. He has also been selected as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyers Rising Star for 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013 in the area of White Collar Defense. Additionally, he was selected by The Legal Intelligencer as a Lawyer on the Fast Track for 2010. Mr. Rosenblum received his B.S. in Accountancy, magna cum laude, with a minor in Spanish, from Villanova University. He received his J.D. from Villanova University School of Law, where he was a member of the Environmental Law Journal and National Mock Trial Team and received the David E. Worby Scholarship for Trial Advocacy.
Mr. Rosenblum is a frequent lecturer and author on topics ranging from criminal law to the False Claims Act.
