Brian Allen Rankin

I am an accomplished attorney, policy strategist and advocate, Fortune 30 corporate executive and nonprofit board member. With over 30 years’ experience as a senior executive, corporate attorney and policy strategist and advocate, I achieve positive results through:
• Strategy and advocacy for public policies that foster rule of law-based free markets, and investment in a variety of forums, including before policy makers and conferences.
• Counsel for due diligence, investment analysis, corporate governance and business management.
A corporate executive and senior legal counsel for over 30 years, I served as Senior Vice President, Senior Deputy General Counsel of Comcast Corporation (a Fortune 30 company). As lead legal executive for federal, state and local government policy, regulatory and business issues, I provided counsel on key strategic and regulatory matters. I worked for Comcast for almost 18 years and also held senior legal positions for MCI Communications Corporation, Aerial Communications and XO Communications. A veteran of the United States Army, I was awarded the Army Commendation Medal for Meritorious Service.
I have extensive nonprofit board experience and am a Vice Chair and member of the Board of Directors of the World Affairs Council of Philadelphia, an organization dedicated to informing and engaging people on matters of national and international significance. I also serve on the Board of Directors of the Global Interdependence Center, which convenes international experts in policymaking, central banking, industry, and academia to explore issues and policies concerning global interdependence that impacts world economies and quality of life.
I have a Juris Doctor from DePaul University (winner of the American Jurisprudence Award for Trial Advocacy and served on the Dean’s Advisory Council for 10 years), a Master of Business Administration from the University of Alabama (with Honors) and a Bachelor of Science from Illinois State University (Dean’s List).
