Two Words "SHAKA JOHNSON"

Went to meet this man after firing my first lawyer because he wanted to settle before reviewing the case and got to consult with Shaka the first day meeting him was greeted and hugged. The next day after hiring him was told to come into the office to sit down with staff and to prep my defense. He mo...ved faster than any other defense attorney I know and he showed up to court ready to defend me. He kept it real about the odds of certain charges and helped me put together mitigation he did not let the prosecutors bully me into taking a deal and gave me my life back. He fought a crazy fight with me and did not give up on me instead he fought even harder when he thought that the prosecutor was being unfair and got me a fair outcome. I highly recommend this man who I call a BROTHER after defending me aggressively to make sure I was given a second chance at life. The entire time he represented me it felt like family more than a business relationship to me. This case was not BUSINESS for him it was PERSONAL to where he wanted to make sure I was satisfied at the end of the day. Thanks to Shaka Johnson and the Rest of the team for my BEST OUTCOME.

Great lawyer

I retained shaka for a probation violation which my probation officer issued a warrant on a October 26th I went to shaka office on the 27th and by the 29th my motion to remove detainer was filed before any payments were made. Once I made a payment we were waiting on a court date I was arrested on ne...w charges the following week shaka was notified via text message and he appeared at my bail hearing and got the bail commissioner to allow me to get sob. After my Gagnon 1 a vop date was issued and Shaka got my detainer lifted just in time for the holidays and before my fiancé has our baby. I was suppose to go to court in January he got the date pushed up and got my home to fight my case from the streets. Shaka is the best in my eyes he is a man of his word.. and he works with people I didn’t have all the funds to pay him he took what I had and worked on getting me out and now I am home with my family awaiting my new born child... thank you shaka

Best around!

Mr. Johnson went above and beyond to make sure my reputation remained in tact and that I faced the least possible charge. I was represented better than I could have ever imagined. My concerns were listened to. My opinions were valued and my doubts were always reassured. My nerves were calmed even wh...en walking into the courtroom and the process was always explained thoroughly in ways I understood. Mr. Johnson fought hard for me. He went above and beyond and did everything he could to ensure a great outcome. He even told me what to expect after the case was over. I was so scared about this DUI and how my day to day would be affected. I couldn't have asked for a better law firm or attorney. Thanks again!!

Grateful in Philadelphia

Shaka Johnson is a really great lawyer. I was charged with DUI after my car broke down on the interstate in Philadelphia. Officers are suppose to protect the people, but instead of asking whether I was was okay, this officer treated me like a criminal because a portion of my car was still in the ro...ad. (Yes, I know this is dangerous, but the officer could have asked to help, instead of assuming the worst in me). Even after I told this officer that my car was giving me trouble, and he could see that I was visibly upset because I did not have anyone to help me, as I live in Virginia and was only here to pay my respects to a friend, he still treated me like a criminal. Much to my surprise, I was being arrested for DUI with refusal, and I had not had a single drink! After my husband learned of my arrest, he googled attorney's in the area and called around. Because it was late, most people did not respond, but Shaka responded to his web inquiry and provided his cell phone number for my husband to call him...this was at 10:30 PM!!! He informed my husband that I had nothing to worry about and was present at my arraignment at 4 AM. I was released ROR and went home to my family. I spoke to Shaka several times and each time he assured me that I had nothing to worry about and he was handling the situation. He asked me to trust him and to not stress, so I did! When my husband and I arrived in Philadelphia for my trial, Shaka was not present so I began to worry, but the lady at his office assured me that he was coming, but had other hearings scheduled that day. We waited until about 10:45 AM, but the wait was worth it. Shaka came in and went straight to work. He did a motion to suppress the arrest in my case and he WON! Because the officer lied, the judge did not believe anything he was saying. There was so many people whispering behind me and commenting on what was going on, that I knew I made the right choice! I told Shaka he would by my family's lawyer, and we laughed because having no family in the area is what got me in this situation in the first place, but he understood what I meant. I wish I could give him more stars because this review does not even encompass the stress relief that he has given my family. No, he was not always available to answer the same questions each time I would call him (I think I called maybe 100 times to ask him what would happen at trial :) , but he was available when I needed him the most--when I was locked in a jail cell with no hope because I did not know if my husband found an attorney AND when he showed the entire courtroom that the officer lied on me and wrongfully arrested me). Moral of the story: I had one of the best attorneys in the world and I would refer him to ANYONE!!!!!

"Mr. Make a lil somethin outta nothin"

I fired my previous attorney and retained Mr. Johnson all within a weeks time. The first time that I spoke with him was on a Sunday and he called from his office (signs of great work ethic). Once we met and discussed the matter, I left his office feeling confident of both his skill and knowledge. Thi...s is what we call a "SHARK" People!.. A "Hungry lawyer that will eat da case" He goes hard for his clients and makes them and their families feel like a priority. Unlike other lawyers who take your money, talk to you any kind of way (WHEN they do decide to take your calls) and offer no assurance of even beating your case. Shaka is taking Jail calls, making official visits and offers fair prices! If you can't afford an attorney then you shouldn't be doing sh!t to need one. I'm writing this from the comfort of my home b/c he kept me and hundreds of folks out of jail. SALUTE TO THAT MAN and PHUCK A HATER! Esp the ones who bread wasn't right. Thats the only time a lawyer don't get back w/u or show up to your hearings... i mean, if u can't pay 'round here then stay from 'round here. Bottome line. If THIS review is not enough then check Twitter or instagram and see what they have to say on there.. they keep his name up and down the timelines, talkin bout how he got Johnny Cochrane stats and got them and/or their folks off... Hire Shaka!!
