A proud Philadelphian with deep roots in the city, Sarah Tarczewski approaches every family-law matter with the steady blend of compassion and trial-ready strategy that defines Cooper Family Law. Before joining Cooper Family Law, Sarah represented union members across Philadelphia and the surrounding counties in family, criminal, and arbitration settings. That frontline experience honed her courtroom instincts and reinforced her commitment to protecting working families.

Sarah’s practice spans the full spectrum of domestic-relations issues, including child support and custody, divorce, Protection From Abuse (PFA) actions, pre- and post-nuptial agreements, and guardianships. Whether you need a creative custody schedule or decisive advocacy in a contested PFA hearing, Sarah brings clear communication and meticulous preparation to every case.

Sarah earned her Juris Doctor from Temple University Beasley School of Law, where she logged hundreds of clinical hours serving low-income and LGBTQ+ residents. Under Professor Sarah Katz, she litigated cases in Temple’s Family Law Litigation Clinic and, through the Mazzoni Center, prepared dozens of name-change petitions for transgender and non-binary clients. A Beasley Scholar and Kohn Prize recipient, she continues to champion access to justice through pro bono work.

She is an active member of the Philadelphia and Pennsylvania Bar Associations. Outside the office, Sarah enjoys swimming and supporting community legal-aid initiatives, always staying connected to the city that fuels her dedication to families.
